Hello and a very warm welcome! I’m Katy, the founder, writer, and chief baker behind maryberrycakerecipes.com.

My love for baking began over two decades ago in my mother’s kitchen in Kent, England, often with a well-loved Mary Berry book open on the counter. Her no-fuss, reliably brilliant recipes have been my guiding star ever since.

In 2024, I decided to blend my two greatest passions: travel and baking. I left my permanent post in the UK to explore the world, and this blog is my digital recipe box and travel diary. While I’m currently writing from somewhere in South America, the heart of my kitchen remains firmly British.

Here, you’ll find my adventures in baking Mary Berry’s iconic cakes, scones, and bakes.
